My Husband's 24!

Happy Birthday to the most amazing man in the whole world! Mike opened all his presents in bed and he got some really good stuff thanks to his parents, brother and sister and some were from me as well. He got lots of movies, 24 the whole season, some ties, a new dress shirt, some new slippers/moccasins, new razor blades, and some candy. We had a big breakfast with waffles, eggs, sausage, and bacon followed by some relaxing on the couch, then later that night we went out to dinner with some friends to Olive Garden, YUM, and came home for some cake and ice cream. Then we went to a concert with some friends and had a blast! I hope your day was all that you hoped it would be and more! Here are some pics from the festivities! I love you so much Mike!! Today I'm Feeling Grateful

Don't Sunday's just help to remind you to feel grateful for all of your blessings. I know that I am so blessed in my life and today I am feeling especially grateful.

Grateful for an amazing husband who supports me in whatever I do, even a boring choir performance, grateful for a handsome husband that is my best friend(and Thanks to Mama and Papa Smith for a snazzy new suit for Mikey), and I'm so grateful to be the luckiest woman on the earth and SO HAPPY!!!! I love you SO much Honey! You are so Amazing!

Half Way Point Update!

So for all of you that read some of the latest posts you know Mike and I are competing in our Family Biggest Loser and we just passed our half way point.

I thought it would be a good idea to give an update on how we're doing!!!

So far Mike has lost 16 pounds and I have lost 21!

Oh No!!!

Okay so here's the deal...I'm not very good at surprising Mike because I am the worst liar. With his birthday coming up I knew his present had to be something great and definitely had to be a surprise. To my luck I found out his favorite band, Brand New, was playing in Salt Lake this weekend on Oct. 9th! I knew, because it was a month before his birthday, it would be the perfect gift and perfect surprise! So I surprised him with a cute scavenger hunt around the apartment and gave him the surprise of his life, TICKETS TO THE CONCERT! I totally kept it in all to myself and was so proud!

When I woke up from my nap today Mike said, "Uh oh Jess, bad news!" And I was like oh no whats the matter? He said that because one of the members of the band is sick they had to cancel the show in Salt Lake! I'm so bummed because it was all planned out and it was going to be a perfect weekend with my husband! They are going to reschedule the concert so hopefully we will still be able to see the show!

Someone post a new blog! We're getting so bored not being able to see new posts!!! ANNNNND we have absolutely nothing to post about so we need to live vicariously through you guys!!!

Let the Contest BEGIN!

Well, I feel like it is FINALLY time to blog about what has truly been going on in our home. Now this may shock some of you but it was something that needed to be done! Mike and I are on a..... DIET!
Trust me it's hard for us to believe as well. We are so committed to this and we know this is going to help us so much in our future! I know that I couldn't do it without him and I am so grateful for a husband who is willing to give up delicious food for the sake of helping me and for both of us to feel and look better! He is such a trooper and he is doing so well. He has already lost 10 pounds and is working so hard to get in shape. I have lost 10 pounds so far as well and I already feel great! We have a menu that we DO NOT stray from and a work out plan every week to help us reach our goals.
Thanks to my amazing sister-in-law, Sarah we have the perfect plan that is personalized for our bodies! Not only will we get to feel great about ourselves and are already feeling better as we speak, but did I mention we're doing a Lindsey Family Biggest Loser with a cash prize at the end?! This goes to the one family member that reaches their goal at the end of 12 weeks. Soooo like I said, Let the contest begin!!!! It's on family, oh ya it's on!!

Notice: There are no pictures on this post of our before pictures and that might never happen(haha) but we will definitely put up some after pictures so you all can look forward to that! Oh and we're not going to put up any pictures of our bodies until we're done with the 12 weeks so the family doesn't get to discouraged by how good we are looking! HaHa

"I Just Hope I Finish!"

We spent this past weekend at Bear Lake for Mike's 1st Olympic Triathlon! Not only was Mike nervous because it was his first Olympic distance triathlon but he also didn't have much time to train because of the many vacations we took over the seven week break! I was nervous for him too! His goal was to finish and not only did he succeed in finishing the race but he also got 1ST place in his age group! Way to go my man! You are amazing!
